Hi Parents,

We are excited to announce the start of free after-school clubs for our Highmark students starting after our Winter Break.

We will start with five clubs beginning the week of January 9th that will run for six weeks (skipping PTC week). These clubs include Chess, Crochet, Culinary, Guitar, and Dungeons and Dragons.

After those six weeks, we will do another round of different clubs. Those include Volleyball, Yoga, Sewing, Academic Bowl, and Canva.

These clubs will be free and offered to students in grades 5th through 9th. These clubs will be on a first come, first-sign-up basis through our website. The minimum number of students needed to attend to have an active club will be ten. The staff member running the club has determined the maximum number of students.

If you sign your student up for a club, the expectation will be that your student will attend for six weeks unless they are sick or there is an emergency. We can't offer a trial of the club due to the number of students potentially wanting to attend. If your student quits a club, they won't be able to join another one during the next round of sign-ups. Please ensure that if your student signs up for a club, you can pick them up within 5-10 minutes of the club ending so we can lock up the building and allow our janitorial staff to start cleaning the facility. Also, school rules will still apply during these clubs.

The sign-up link for clubs will be sent out on Tuesday, December 20th @ 9:00 am.

Please reach out with questions.

Thank you,
Shawn Miehlke
